Cymera 2020 This Weekend!

June 2020 was supposed to be the year I returned to Edinburgh for the second Cymera convention. Since we’re still in the midst of a global pandemic, many amazing book conventions have been cancelled, including Cymera. But fear not!

This year, Cymera is going online and hosting their author panels, discussions, and workshops online. Head on over to Cymera Festival.co.uk and check out the virtual panels this weekend, starting today, Friday 5th. There’s a mix of pre-recorded and live shows with fantastic authors such as Bex Hogan, Laura Lam, Tasha Suri, Trudi Canavan and more!

I attended the first year of Cymera last summer and had an absolute blast. Not only did I hear some great fantasy authors talk about their books and author experience, including the lovely V. E. Schwab, but I also met some cool indie authors at their Creator’s Hall. One thing I adored about Cymera was their support for indie and self-published authors. They gave them a platform to share their stories and voice. I vowed to come back in 2020 and take part in their Creator’s Hall with my own debut novel, but alas.

However! You can find me on their virtual Creator’s Hall for Cymera 2020! I’m there in spirit, if not physically.

Next year, I hope to be there in person. But for now I hope you’ll take part in and enjoy the virtual con!
