The Chosen One Con is an adult fantasy book set in an industrial world where the poor are forced to toil in factories while the rich enjoy the fruits of their labour. As such, there are some dark themes throughout the story. The two main characters of Max and Lyle also deal with their own personal issues. Max is a sex worker, and Lyle is dying from magical poison.
